Join your colleagues on February 1st to promote adult day services with members of the General Assembly. This is the day to “let your voice be heard!”
Last year our members visited the nearly 90 new legislators elected in November 2010, as well as many other legislators. It is our job to make sure all legislators know about adult day services and understand the impact it has for our Missouri families.
Join your colleagues in Jefferson City on February 1st. You will have handouts for the legislators describing the basics of adult day services and the positive impact on senior adults, adults with disabilities, and their families when they participate in an adult day program. If you have brochures for your center, please bring them to share with the legislators and their staff. This will be an important day for you and for your clients.
We will meet at the Missouri Alliance for Home Care Office at 9:30 a.m. If you have a client family member who is willing to spend the day in Jefferson City, please bring them. There is nothing more important than testimony from someone who knows firsthand the benefits of adult day services.
